Dawn Mills

Dawn Mills is a multimedia artist based in St Bees, Cumbria. Her work is informed by the coastal landscape of West Cumbria and by her parallel professional practice as a somatically informed homeopath and Bowen therapist.

Her current work explores the meeting point between internal perception and external landscape, with a particular interest in liminal space - where inner experience and the physical world overlap and inform one another. Working from inward attention as well as direct engagement with place, she translates felt experience into layered visual form.

Dawn’s print practice centres on monoprint, often combined with other printmaking techniques to create one-of-a-kind works on paper. Through layering, repetition, and erasure, she builds complex surfaces rich in colour, pattern, and imagery.

She is known for an eclectic, process-led approach that moves between figurative and more experimental work.
