Geraldine Walkington
This ongoing series is a brief departure from the glacier studies in Chamonix that continue to occupy Geraldine’s practice.
Changing her limited colour palette of the glaciers to explore the rich and unpredictable outcomes of viscosity and layering, Geraldine’s theme Wild Abandon, has been translated into monotype and etching; semi abstractions of the unkempt gardens and hedgerows found in the depths of her Lake District wanderings.
'It is the unpredictability of each outcome that pushes my practice and by mixing disciplines and techniques, it gives me the freedom to create very personal images.'
