Harriet Sharp
Harriet has a degree in Ceramics from Camberwell College of Art and Design. She has always been interested in surface decoration and this led to her interest in Printmaking.
Prior to her degree course she had a company specialising in painted finishes, marbling, woodgraining and sponging techniques popular in the early 1980's. After finishing her degree at Camberwell, she became a member of the Leicester Print Workshop where she learnt collagraph , monoprint, drypoint and etching techniques. On moving to Kendal she was instrumental in setting up the Brewery Arts Centre print studio working as tutor and technician.
Harriet's subject matter is taken from patterns in the natural and built environment. Her work is experimental and her overall intention is to continue to develop her style and skills and strong interest in the art of Printmaking.
Harriet teaches monoprint and collagraph at the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal.
