Mark creates vibrant images inspired by the landscape around him on the Western coast of the Lake District where he has both the sea and mountains on his doorstep. He works from photographs taken on his many walks across the fells and along the coast.

It is the possibility of the complex colour combinations within the texture of a reduction print that excites him. The mixing of these colours is complex because each colour is printed directly over the last and is affected by it. It often takes longer to mix the colours than print the run.
