Polly Marix Evans
Polly Marix Evans’ work pivots around a single human personality, known as Bun-Head, caught in a moment in the flow of life.
The minimalist composition of her linocuts, contrasting areas of predominantly black on white with bold blocks of colour and sharp angles encasing the figurative work, offers a multi-layered approach to the subject subtly triggering emotions as you close in. Irrespective of the emotion depicted, the overall sense is that it’s ok, you are ok.
Polly trained in Fine Art Printmaking at The Manchester Metropolitan University; she graduated in 1993.
Polly works from her home studio in rural Cumbria.
