Roseanna Bellwood

A love of nature, specifically plants and wildflowers, is the main inspiration behind Roseanna’s work.
She creates etchings and monoprints to capture detail and texture, then hand paints with watercolour.
The monoprints are made using plants, leaves feathers, or whatever catches her eye when out walking, or in her garden. The most unassuming plants often make the most interesting prints and the unpredictability of printmaking in this way is what she particularly enjoys.

Roseanna works from her studio at the Courtyard Gallery in Appleby, which she runs with her husband, Andrew.
