Sue Rowland
Fascinating stories from history, quirky nature folklore tales and experiences from her travels are the main subjects that inspires Sue’s work. Translating these stories into illustrative detailed designs, filled with pattern and texture is the challenge she explores in her work.
Her favoured technique is lino print but often layered with monoprint and screen print. Interesting textiles are often created in parallel; the print often added to with applique and machine embroidery and constructed into wall hangings or garments.
Sue studied at Central St Martins and is a member of Cumbria Printmakers and Green Door Artists and exhibits regularly in exhibitions.
